Well 2022 was a hectic year as we began to emerge from the Covid pandemic. We had two wonderful family weddings and moved house so didn’t have much time to do any touring on our way to and from Spain 🇪🇸. So we’re delighted to be doing a spot of touring as we travel home from Benijofar. Below is our planned trip from Benijofar to Aranjuez to visit the Palace, then on to Segovia to see the Aqueduct and the Alcazar and then on to Bilbao to take the boat home.
We arrived in Benijofar at the end of February and moved into our new house – its a whole 110 meters up the road from the old house 😝.
So this is our lovely new house….
The builders were no sooner out the door than Betty arrived with her 16 year old granddaughter, Naomi, who came to live with us and go to school for a term in the local Secondary School in Rojales – this would be Sheila and my first introduction to living with a teenager and learning how a teenager lives, speaks and how they roll or get with the plan! We have been in 98 “BeReal” photos, we can click our fingers on both hands in time with what we are saying, we know what every “angel number” stands for, we can keep with the plan, we can eat it up and leave no crumbs and to top it off we can sing and dance just like Jedward and are now experts on everything Eurovision. Really our lives will never be the same 🤪.

Missing you both already and it was a pleasure to meet Naomi. At least you now know what you missed about teenagers. But you were once the same. Xxxxxxxx

We are certainly living the life Joan and making the most of it while we can. We love Spain and the new house is fab. We do Spanish classes everyday with a fabulous teacher and learn so much about Spain, the history and culture. And then love coming home to see everyone and spend time here with the family and playing a spot of golf. Hope all good with you and Eugene.
