We had a great time in Liverpool visiting Mum’s very close friend and her daughter – Chris and Gretta. Mum and Chris had been neighbours in Carlaw Road back in the late-50s and their friendship lasted all these years. Chris is 96 years young and had great memories of Mum and Dad. It was lovely to see Chris and catch up with Gretta.

And Charlie was delighted with Chris

Then we went off to visit “Farrell Close” which was a street named after Dad during the height of his football career.

After Farrell Close we headed over to Birkenhead to 44 Carlaw Road where Betty, Pauline and Sheila spent their early formative years 😜

nd then it was off to Holyhead before the bad weather kicked in 😳❄️❄️
What a lovely time we had and a great way to finish off our wonderful road trip😎

What an amazing trip and SO many memories. How long did the Farrell’s live in the Liverpool area? Wonderful your father had a street named after him.

Dad lived there for 16 years I think and Mum for 11. They all moved home just before I was born.
