Made a quick stop en route in Nouaille where the battle of Poitiers took place in 1356. This battle was a catastrophic defeat by the French King John II at the end of the first phase of the Hundred Years’ War between France and England.

Then on to Poitiers for a light lunch 🤢

While Sheila tried to raid the Advent calendar 🙄

And the other “two mutts” tried to catch up on some sleep😴

Then it was off to explore another fascinating city full of history and breathtaking buildings around every corner.

And another buzzing Christmas market
