A room with a view….

Arrived in Zaragoza and our hotel room had the most magnificent view 😎

Basílica de Nuestra Señora del Pilar

We visited Zaragoza in September 2017 and it was here that we got our first taste of Spanish history. We absolutely loved Zaragoza with it’s magnificent buildings, wonderful streets and the most incredible buzz. We said it was definitely on the list for a return visit and so we here we are soaking up the wonderful Christmas atmosphere (despite the odd shower😎).

For those of you who didn’t read our earlier post on Zaragoza here it is – just click here.

The hotel we were staying in was facing the magnificent Basilica of Our Lady of the Pilar and here are some photos of it again.

And it was just as beautiful at night.

In the plaza in front of the Basilica they had a life size crib that you could walk around

I have to say the Angel Gabriel was a bit scary 😳 and this crib definitely didn’t have a little boy on a pottie doing a pooh 💩.

The Christmas market was so full of atmosphere and kids having great fun on the taboggan and lots of stalls with wonderful food 🥘

And there were scooters just left everywhere. I was dying to grab one and run, but Sheila was having none of it.

An absolutely wonderful city – my favourite – and well worth a visit. Next stop France.
